Dr. Yasir Riaz is an assistant professor of finance at the Department of Business Studies. He has a Ph.D. in finance from the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Lahore. He worked as a faculty member at LUMS for a year before joining Namal University. His research interests include financial markets, corporate finance, fintech, and applied econometrics. His research has been published in prestigious peer-reviewed international finance journals such as Finance Research Letters, Pacific-Basin Finance Journal, Applied Economics, etc. Dr. Yasir has also served in various administrative positions. Currently, he is leading the placement and career development center. Previously, he served as the Head of the Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC). He has also conducted a number of trainings for professionals and learners in various courses, including Finance for Non-Financial Managers and Investment for Beginners.
