Summary

Dr. Nazar obtained his PhD in Communications Engineering from the Institute for Communications Engineering and RF-systems, Johannes Kepler University Linz, Austria in Dec. 2012. During his PhD, he worked on mobile radio channel estimation and tracking for 3GPP LTE-A. Dr. Nazar worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow (2018-2022) at the Department of Information Science and Electronic Engineering, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China. His postdoctoral research investigations are related to the convergence of wireless communications and sensing which is expected to play a key role in 6G and beyond wireless services. Dr. Nazar has served in the Electrical Engineering Departments of Government College University Lahore (Assistant Professor 2013-2014, Lecturer 2005-2008) and in COMSATS University Islamabad, Sahiwal Campus (Assistant Professor 2014-2018). Current research interests of Dr. Nazar include signal processing for 5G, 6G, and beyond with a special focus on THz for wireless communication, integrated wireless communication and sensing, massive MIMO, mobile radio channel modeling and measurement, and orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM).
