Sehar Bano, a BS Computer Science student, has achieved a significant academic milestone by securing a Research Internship at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), China, one of the world's leading research institutions. She was selected through a highly competitive and independent application process that began with her proactive outreach to Prof. Dr. Shufan Wu of the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics. By presenting her technical expertise, research ideas, and academic background, she successfully progressed through multiple stages of technical interviews, coding evaluations, and research discussions before being offered the position. During her internship, she will contribute to cutting-edge research in AI for Space, focusing on AI-enabled intelligent processing, autonomous space systems, and intelligent computing for CubeSat missions. This achievement highlights her technical competence, research potential, and initiative in establishing an international academic collaboration that bridges Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, and Space Technology.
